FIXTURES & FIT-OUT FOR 33 STORES IN THE UK

Home decor store fixtures for Cotton Traders Home

Concept design for Cotton Traders Home brand
Cotton Traders are a British retail brand first established in 1987. The offering features a range of casual clothing for men, women, as well as accessories and home decor items. In late 2017 the brand introduced Cotton Traders Home and Cotton Edits brand concepts to its portfolio. The company currently operates over 100 stores in the UK.

CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS

Furnishing Cotton Traders stores across the UK since 2014

Since the beginning of our co-operation we have delivered home decor store fixtures to 33 locations for the customer. We also designed new store concepts for Cotton Traders’ 2 new brands.
Expectation 1

NEW CONCEPT

The client challenged us with the creation of concepts for the 2 new brands: Cotton Traders Home and Cotton Traders Edits. The new concepts had to fit seamlessly into the customer brand identity and store floor space, whilst also needing to appeal to the expanded target customer audience. Fixture manufacture and complete fit-out job were to follow an approved store concept design.

Expectation 2

MEETING TIGHT DEADLINES

Tight schedule: we had only 2 weeks to do the fit-out of the very first store that had the offering of all the 3 customer brands under its roof.

CASE STUDY

Home decor store fixtures and fit-out

New store concept, fixtures and fit-out for home décor stores

We have been manufacturing, supplying and installing store fixtures across Europe for over 15 years.
How do we manage to meet the expectations of retailers in the UK?

It’s all thanks to the unique CAPS business model built around our key resources and philosphy based on:

  • own manufacturing facilities + outsourcing from China
  • team of experienced designers and engineers
  • 4 warehouses located across Europe, including the UK
  • own fit-out teams + partner network
  • SAP system in use
  • efficient supply chain management
  • great customer service

Mission accomplished

We successfully managed to design and incorporate the Cotton Traders new brands under one roof – showcasing the new concepts in a very appealing way, while operating with a tight time schedule and budget.

The very first Cotton Traders store with Home and Edits concepts was done in Melbicks Garden Centre in Coleshill, Birmingham. The 2 week fit-out programme included full joinery element installation, electrics and a new lighting layout throughout the area.

Satisfied customer? Checked!

Cotton Traders were absolutely thrilled with the finished store and how the 3 offerings came together seamlessly in one store. Our fast turnaround from initial concept design, to final drawings, manufacture and installation meant the store was opened in early Spring 2018. The client is looking at rolling out the concept to further stores from now onwards.
